Why has June 17th been such a disaster.
Apart rom no one knowing when downloads would start, by thetime I received an email, I was aready prepared to give up. Yes I'd put the advertisng banners on my website.
which were quickly deletd, when everyone realised that nothing was happening.
Finally downloaded this long awaited, firefox 3.
Installed and it crashes. Try to send crash report.
Unable to send. Try to open in safe mode. Nothing.
I'm now proud to say, that along with all of my work colleagues and friends,
we're sticking with Opera.
It works, doesn't crash and can even access websites.
it may not have the seriously misnamed AWESOME feature.
But hey, who cares.

Time to download - think not
The reason the download of Firefox 3 was so mishandled, (apart from the fact that Mozzie apparently have a worst marketing dept. than MS Vista - and they were hanged) is that they are still thinking local time and not the new world internet time. Even though they have an internet product. A internet day is from 12AM were the first time of the day begins (probably some small pacific island) till it rolls back there at 11:59:59 PM. That may well be 2 days in the old world local time ..? So, now you say, what about people grabbing an early copy on Mon instead of Tue. Well, if those people want to stay up late so be it. Besides, it really should be a Monday-Tuesday release or Tuesday-Wednesday, etc. Do you not agree that internet world time is a new format? Although, we have been on the net for over a decade?
what disaster!?
everything just went as planned; downloaded FF3, installed and runs like a charm..
If u r having weird problems, it's most probably coz of ur old profile. save your favorites, uninstall existing FF completely, *delete* ur old profile completely, and install the new FF3. simple as that!
Multiple installs - no problems
I've installed ff3 on Ubuntu, Windows XP, Windows XP Tablet Edition, and Gentoo, with a couple of addons. All versions are working without a hitch.
Love it. Got the banner adds on my home site and MySpace. I sent out invitations to all that I could. FF kicks but.

June 17th has been a glorious day!
The only one June 17th been such a disaster for is Microsoft!!!! :) BTW, try uninstalling Firefox, deleting your Mozilla profile folder and re-installing. Thats usually the most you have to do. You know, when something goes wrong with IE you have to re-install Windows!!
What are you talking about?
I have installed FireFox 3 on 4 separate machines and are running beutifully. Not one copy of FireFox has crashed.
The problem must be with you.
