Impact Mozilla Live!
Hi All,
Just wanted to give you a heads up that http://ImpactMozilla.com is now live! Check out the website for more details about our newest community challenge and you could have a chance to win $3,000.00!
Here is the basic outline of the challenge in case you missed it------>
Mozilla Corporation just launched a community based marketing challenge. In an effort to augment Firefox's user retention, we are reaching out to potential partners in the Mozilla community, marketing field, and leading international graduate and undergraduate institutions in the U.S and abroad.
Our marketing challenge will be structured in two rounds. First, entrants, either individuals or teams, will submit a one-page executive summary of their marketing plan. The marketing plans can either address Firefox's user retention or any other task that will help improve the Mozilla community. The tentative deadline for the first submission is October 24th.
After the submission deadline has passed, a panel of judges will select the top ten entries according to the following criteria:
* Spirit. Does the marketing program embody the spirit of Mozilla and its global community?
* Professionalism and thoroughness. Has the proposal been well thought out and developed, integrating marketing strategy with tactics and creativity?
* Framework. Is the proposal based on a structured framework for approaching and solving the particular marketing challenge?
* Business decision. Does the program make good business sense from an investment standpoint?
* Measurability. Is there a relatively easy way to measure the program’s effect on solving the challenge is set out to solve?
On November 5th, we will share with the world the top ten marketing plans. These ten finalists will then have until December 5th to submit a second, more detailed marketing plan. The final winner will be chosen by the community and will receive a $3,000 cash prize and the opportunity to implement their vision.
As a hybrid organization, Mozilla's success depends tremendously upon community support and participation. Please contact marketingchallenge@mozilla.com if you have any questions.
